Officials Media Event |
On
the occasion of 10 years presence and successful work in Bosnia and Herzegovina
(BiH), Regional Environmental Center (REC) for Central and Eastern Europe
(CEE), Country Office BiH organized High Officials Media Event, which
took place in the building of the Parliament/Council of Ministers of Bosnia
and Herzegovina in Sarajevo on April 24th 2007.
The event was addressed by high officials as follows:
- H.E. Željko Komšić, Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina,
- H.E. Beriz Belkic, Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary
Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina,
- H.E. Szili Katalin, Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic
of Hungary.
The event was also opportunity for the presentation of web page of the
Environmental Department at the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic
Relations BiH.
Web page was developed by REC BiH and financed in the scope of the project
"Improvement of Public Participation Practice Next Steps in Implementing
the Aarhus Convention".
Beside high officials mentioned above, the event was addressed by Minister
of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations BiH, Mr. Slobodan
Puhalac and Head of Environmental Department, Mr. Senad Oprašic, Executive
Director of REC CEE, Ms. Marta Szigeti Bonifert, Country Director of REC
BiH, Ms. Jasna Draganić, Deputy Director of CO BiH, Mr. Djordje Stefanović
and Mr. Nešad Šeremet, Director of REC BiH from 1997 2007.
The event of 10th Anniversary of the REC BiH, was opportunity for the
awarding charters ceremony with appreciation for kind contribution to
a sound environment.
Awarding charters was conferred to H.E. Željko Komšić, Ms. Katica Čerkez,
H.E. Milorad Živković, H.E. Beriz Belkić and H.E. Szili Katalin.
Mr. Nešad Šeremet, director of REC BiH from 1997 -2007, was also awarded
with a charter for his successful work for the past 10 years of REC existence
in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The event was covered by various media and Public Broadcasting Service
of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
